Job description

Full-Time Teacher of Special Education
Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology Medford Campus

Position Summary:
BCIT is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Special Education to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate in Special Education and demonstrate strong knowledge of the subject area and effective teaching practices. The candidate should have the ability to foster a positive learning environment, engage students in meaningful instruction, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.

Qualifications:

  • NJDOE Instructional Certificate in Special Education (required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Special Education content and instructional methods
  • Ability to maintain a supportive and structured classroom environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to working with a diverse student population

Salary & Benefits:

Annual Salary Range: $65,737 $81,313 (commensurate with education and experience)
Note: Starting salaries typically fall within the lower portion of the range due to collective bargaining agreements.
