Job description

At Best Christmas Ever, we believe the greatest gift is giving. That's why we're on a mission to transform lives through generosity during the Christmas season. Through a nomination process, we create an unforgettable Christmas for families who have fallen on hard times, through no fault of their own. Our goal is straightforward: to help them transition from feeling helpless to hopeful.

As our Church Outreach Ambassador, you'll play a key role in expanding BCE's impact within the community. You'll build relationships with local businesses, community leaders, donors, and volunteers, helping introduce more people to the BCE mission and inspiring them to get involved. A major part of your role will be identifying, engaging, onboarding, and supporting our volunteer leaders, known as BCE Captains, who lead the charge in delivering life-changing Christmas experiences to families in need.

We are on the cusp of expanding nationally, and joining BCE at this stage offers the opportunity to grow with the organization and potentially evolve into a leadership position supporting community outreach and fundraising efforts across the BCE organization.

COMPENSATION: 1099 Position

YOUR IMPACT
  • BUILD COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS: Proactively connect with local businesses, organizations, community leaders, donors, and volunteers to introduce them to the BCE mission and expand our network of supporters. Conduct outreach through calls, meetings, social media, networking, and community events. Build genuine, lasting relationships that help grow BCE's local and regional impact.
  • INSPIRE & ENGAGE SUPPORTERS: Help individuals and organizations understand how they can make a meaningful difference through BCE. Identify potential BCE Captains and supporters, share the mission, answer questions, and encourage people to take the next step in getting involved. Help create an enthusiastic, connected community around the BCE mission and fundraising efforts.
  • WELCOME, SUPPORT & EMPOWER BCE CAPTAINS: Onboard and support new BCE Captains using clear processes, tools, and resources. Provide ongoing communication, encouragement, and guidance throughout the BCE season. Serve as a primary point of contact for questions, needs, and issue resolution while helping Captains stay engaged and successful.
  • KEEP PEOPLE & CAMPAIGNS MOVING FORWARD: Help ensure donors and BCE Captains stay on track with important campaign milestones and deadlines. Track outreach, engagement, and progress using spreadsheets and other internal systems. Collaborate with internal teams and provide feedback to continuously improve community outreach, fundraising, and engagement strategies.
YOUR SKILLS
  • RELATIONSHIP BUILDING: At least two (2) years of experience in recruiting, fundraising, community outreach, volunteer coordination, donor engagement, sales, networking, business development, or a relationship-driven role. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and bringing others together around a meaningful purpose.
  • MINDSET: A commitment to integrity in all you do, a values-driven approach, and a genuine passion for giving back. You are proactive, organized, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative without needing to be told what to do next.
  • COMMUNICATION: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect with a wide variety of people. You are comfortable making phone calls, attending meetings and events, speaking about BCE's mission, and confidently inviting others to get involved.
  • ABILITY: This is a remote, contract-based opportunity (67 months). A valid driver's license and ability to pass a felony/misdemeanor background and driving (Motor Vehicle Record) check are required. This is a remote/work-from-home position, and a reliable laptop and high-speed internet connection are required to perform essential duties, including video conferencing, cloud-based tools, and team communication platforms. Must be able to attend fundraising and community events as needed (estimated 20% local travel). Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary for events.
JOIN OUR MOVEMENT

You'll be joining a purpose-driven team where your work truly changes lives and where every relationship you build has the potential to create something extraordinary for a family in need.
