Job description

Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Reports To: Clinical Director / Program Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for assessing, developing, and overseeing individualized behavior intervention plans for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental or behavioral challenges. The BCBA provides supervision to behavior technicians/registered behavior technicians (RBTs) and collaborates with families, educators, and other professionals to promote skill acquisition, independence, and positive behavior change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results.
  • Oversee and monitor data collection to ensure accurate tracking of progress.
  • Provide direct instruction and behavioral support as needed.
  • Supervise and train RBTs and other staff in ABA principles and implementation.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate behavior plans into daily routines.
  • Review and adjust treatment plans based on data and client progress.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, state regulations, and BACB standards.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation of services provided.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain certification and enhance skills.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  • Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, interventions, and data analysis.
