JOB DESCRIPTION
Date 5/4/2020
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION TITLE: Registered Behavior Technician
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Behavior Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED
REQUIRED TRAINING: Certification for Registered Behavior Technician (through BACB) within 60
days of hire. Abuse & Neglect, HIPPA, Positive Behavior Support, ACT, Tools of Choice/ NCI, and other
required training.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports and Services:
1. Collect and record data on client behavior and progress and complete daily progress notes
2. Provide direct client care in one-on-one settings
3. Assisting behavior analysts with behavior reduction assessments and skills acquisition
4. Graph all reduction and acquisition data
5. Follow directions provided by the Director and BCBA.
Personal Plans:
1. Knows, respects, and supports each person's Personal Plan & Safety Crisis Plan.
2. Be cognizant of the Quality Outcomes in all decisions.
3. Follows ethical guidelines as stated by the BACB
Health and Safety:
1. Ability to work with clients that display aggression towards self, staff and others.
2. Remain engaged with client
3. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
4. Submit written documentation in accordance with insurance guidelines
General:
1. RBT's must have excellent time management skills and must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time
2. Be committed to ongoing training and development, organizational policies and procedures, and client
confidentiality
3. Attends staff meetings, workshops, etc., as requested.
4. Demonstrate solid communication skills both written and verbal.
5. Properly completes all required paperwork.
6. Keeps supervisors aware of relevant information.
