BCBA School-Based Opportunity (Washington State)

Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Location: Washington State School District (SPS)
Start Date: September 2, 2026
Contract Length: 39 Weeks
Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $80/hour (Local)

Position Overview

The BCBA will provide behavioral assessment, consultation, and intervention services in a school-based setting. This is primarily a consultative role focused on supporting students, educators, and school teams through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practices and behavior support programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and behavioral evaluations
  • Develop and oversee Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Support IEP behavioral goals and intervention implementation
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings and behavioral planning discussions
  • Train and coach school staff on ABA principles and behavior strategies
  • Monitor behavioral data and evaluate intervention effectiveness
  • Assist with classroom and school-wide behavior support systems
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA and district requirements
Requirements
  • Active Washington State BCBA License
  • School-based experience or closely related behavioral experience
  • Ability to obtain CPI Certification within 30 days of assignment
  • Strong collaboration, leadership, and behavioral data analysis skills
Assignment Details
  • Build and manage a caseload within SPS
  • Approximately 5-7 service hours per student per week
  • Clinical interview required with an Amergis Clinical Manager (Teams interview available)
