Community Outreach & Education Coordinat

Job Title:  Community Outreach & Education Coordinator

The BCA Community Outreach & Education Coordinator will be responsible for:  Representing BCA at community events throughout the southern AZ region in order to expand BCAโ€™s audience & membership; Planning monthly educational forums about borderlands topics (Borderlands Forums); and working with and managing BCAโ€™s volunteer corps.

Border Community Alliance (BCA) is a 501c3 organization dedicated to bridging the border and building cross-border community through education, cultural exchange and social investment. 

Job parameters: 

20 hours per week at $25/ hour with vacation benefits. Job application period: Deadline to apply is August 31, 2026. Approximate start date:  October 1, 2026

This position will:

1) Plan for and attend public community events throughout southern AZ representing Border Community Alliance (BCA) (i.e. Tucson Meet Yourself, Cyclovia, Nogales community events, Sahuarita Arts Festival, etc.) 

2) Plan and implement Borderlands Forums at least once a month during October-March; and attend all Forums.

3) Communicate with and organize BCA volunteers to assist at community events along with Community Outreach Coordinator, steward volunteers and plan annual volunteer orientation & appreciation events.
