Baystate Health is seeking a Client Service Specialist to join our [Department/Team] at 361 Whitney Ave in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The Client Service Specialist provides essential communication and customer service support in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week environment, working with patients, families, physicians, vendors, staff, visitors, and internal customers.

The Client Service Specialist plays an important role in ensuring requests are assessed, triaged, and communicated accurately and efficiently. This position also supports emergency response by activating critical code teams, disaster response teams, and stat pages under supervision.

The Client Service Specialist Will:
  • Answer and triage incoming and operator-assisted calls using approved processes.
  • Assess requests and provide accurate and timely triage and assistance.
  • Relay messages received from or sent to customers in a timely manner.
  • Provide paging services for internal and external clients.
  • Activate emergency code teams, disaster response teams, and stat pages under supervision.
  • Provide courteous assistance and support to patients, visitors, staff, and internal customers.
  • Communicate and respond to information clearly while giving and accepting feedback.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, sensitivity, and negotiation skills while working in a changing environment.
