About Bayshore Elite

Bayshore Elite Gymnastics is a competitive and recreational gymnastics program in Redwood City, CA, serving athletes from preschool through our Level 3–9 competitive team. We're growing our recreational program and looking for enthusiastic, reliable coaches to join our team for the upcoming season.


Position Summary

We're hiring Recreational Gymnastics Coaches to teach beginner through intermediate classes across our preschool, girls, and boys recreational programs. Coaches lead safe, structured, and fun classes that build fundamental skills — shapes, strength, flexibility, and basic gymnastics technique — while creating a positive experience for every athlete.


What You'll Do

  • Plan and teach age- and level-appropriate recreational gymnastics classes on all four events (vault, bars, beam, floor) plus tumbling and conditioning
  • Spot and progress skills safely, following Bayshore Elite's curriculum and progressions
  • Manage classroom behavior and keep classes on schedule and on task
  • Communicate professionally with parents on student progress
  • Track and report student skill progress for evaluations and level advancement
  • Maintain a clean, safe gym environment and report equipment or safety concerns
  • Support gym events such as skill clinics, in-house meets, and Awards Night as needed


What We're Looking For

  • Some Experience working with children ages 18 months–12 years
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, patient coaching style
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
  • Ability to pass a background check
