Pharmacist at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington:

  • The Pharmacist is responsible for daily operations, personnel management and regulatory compliance of pharmacy services for the facility, when on duty without the Director being present.
  • This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
  • The Pharmacist communicates the needs of the department to The Director of the Department and collaborates with medical staff regarding prescriptive issues and therapy recommendations.
  • The Pharmacist supports management team in meeting facility goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. PharmD. preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Texas Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license
  • IV Certification (ACPE certified)
  • BLS

Required Experience:

  • Have two (2) to five (5) years hospital pharmacy experience
  • Demonstrate competent knowledge of the development needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and Medicare standards affecting pharmacy.
  • Must possess ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel, medical staff and the public.
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Must have ability to act as liaison between personnel and management.
