Job description

NO PER DIEM

** Zachry is looking for a LABORER to work at the Bayer Marana Greenhouse and the surrounding grounds (Bayer Crop Science is an agriculture company) near Marana, AZ. 

Job Description  

As the successful candidate for this position, most time will be spent on your feet working with industrial equipment. Duties include pot washing and general housekeeping of the work area and assisting in cleaning greenhouse spaces that get up to 90 F and other activities related to crops and greenhouses. This position will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under immediate supervision. Provide support for the Bayer Safety program by adhering to all safety policies and attendance at regular company sponsored safety meetings. This team works less with automation and more hands on/manual labor. 

Working hours: 40-hour work week, with variable start and end times dependent on hiring group, with weekend work and extended hours or shift work during peak seasons. Hours subject to vary with current restrictions. Ability to work weekends and holidays, as assigned. 

General Qualifications: 

High school diploma and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area required  

Fast learner and flexible to change tasks multiple times a day in a fast-paced environment.  

Skills:  

Activities will require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing  

Must be able to read and write, to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.  

Proficient with current technology (smartphone or tablet).  

Must be able to adhere to all Zachry and Bayer SOPs when carrying out assigned tasks and to support all site safety requirements.  

Must be able to function as a team member, and to take daily direction from supervisors and managers.  

Stand and walk for extended periods of time.  

Being able to climb 3 ft tall structures 

Must be able to lift 40 pounds
