Job description

Forklift Operator Warehouse

Department: Warehouse
Shift: AM
Schedule: Monday Friday | 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
Location: Reserve Plant
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.50 per hour


Position Summary

The Forklift Operator Warehouse is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, and rotation of finished goods and materials within the warehouse. This role supports inventory accuracy, product integrity, and shipping readiness, with a strong emphasis on proper stock rotation, shelf-life management, and accurate system transactions using the companys warehouse and inventory management system.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport, store, and retrieve finished goods, raw materials, and supplies within designated warehouse locations.
  • Rotate inventory to ensure proper stock rotation practices, including oldest product out and newest product staged to the back, to maintain shelf life and product quality.
  • Use the Deacom warehouse and inventory management system to accurately record inventory movements, locations, and transactions.
  • Obtain and follow production schedules, shipping orders, and inventory instructions as assigned.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, docks, and storage areas safely and efficiently.
  • Secure loads using appropriate protective materials, strapping, and wrapping methods as required.
  • Inspect materials and finished goods for damage and report discrepancies or issues to supervision.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse aisles, storage locations, and staging areas.
  • Perform basic forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow all safety procedures, GMP requirements, and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and use warehouse management systems, including Deacom.
  • Ability to maintain focus, situational awareness, and organization in a warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and accountability.

Education and Experience
  • Must successfully complete forklift training or demonstrate safe forklift operation during an on-site evaluation.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, or forklift experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Work environment may include exposure to forklifts, warehouse equipment, varying temperatures, and noise.
