Job description

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated candidates for the role of Plant Modeling Engineer (PME) to support the Global Virtual Engineering (GVE) department. This role is part of a group responsible for creating virtual environments to enable calibration, verification, and validation of embedded controllers for engine, transmission, hybrid, electrification, and chassis. The Plant Modeling Engineer is responsible for leading the move to virtual engineering by creating sensor and actuator virtual assets for full-vehicle cross-functional co-simulation packages that are used for all aspects of vehicle development. This position involves high level of collaboration with teams throughout General Motors including Global Electrification & Battery Systems (GEBS), Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC), Calibration, Algorithm, Vehicle Performance, Validation, and Hardware Development. This position requires an individual with a passion for virtualization, an adept knowledge of hardware and software integrated systems, and a demonstrated capability to manage a wide variety of technical and customer needs. A balance of technical and project leadership skills and the ability to think outside the box to find simple yet exciting solutions is paramount.
