Motive Power applications include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment. Job Purpose
The Quality Engineer works to support the manufacturing site and distribution center with any quality related issue, from supplier, internal processes, or customer concerns. They are responsible for the Quality Management System and support addressing issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support with problem solving, containment of nonconforming products, and corrective actions
  • Develop quality instructions, control plans, etc.
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and generating KPI reports
  • Manage internal improvement plans
  • Cooperate with relevant support functions, such as Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, etc.
  • Improve the quality of the battery finishing lines
  • Perform system, process, and product audits to fulfill IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Participate in change-approval process

Provide quality coaching and training of production staff
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
English language on communicative level in writing and speaking
Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Statistical Tools, SPC, etc.)
Excellent PC skills
Familiar with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001
Team player - able to work independently
