Key Responsibilities
  • Develop state of charge, state of health, and state of power algorithms for lithium sulfur batteries
  • Develop and maintain the embedded governing software for BMS controllers
  • Lead integration efforts of BMS hardware and software with battery packs
  • Test and validate BMS systems with lithium sulfur battery packs
  • Collaborate across teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Participate in technical reviews

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience in battery management system engineering
  • Experience developing battery management system software and state estimation algorithms for battery packs
  • Experience with BMS and battery modeling in Simulink
  • Familiarity with battery management system hardware
  • Experience with battery management system controls (e.g., cell balancing, protection)
  • Knowledge of drone hardware and flight profiles a plus
  • Strong computer programming skills

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to wear required PPE (labcoat, gloves, protective eyewear)
  • Ability to stand for prolonged period of time

Compensations Range:
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$128,200.00 - $192,400.00
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.
In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
