We made history, and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

Ford’s legacy of innovation is about to reach new heights. Imagine being on the ground floor of something truly extraordinary. At BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, we’re not just assembling battery systems; we’re leading a transformation. As a key member of our start‑up team, you’ll have a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity to launch a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility from the ground up. Imagine: you, at the forefront of the electrification movement, helping to bring the next generation of vehicles to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere.

At BlueOval Battery Park, Michigan, you will...

  • Use your entrepreneurial skills and team mindset to come up with data‑driven solutions
  • Build and lead an agile team to deliver the advanced technology that drives the future
  • Create a culture of trust, encourage diversity of thought, and foster leadership in others
  • Be part of the historic transformation of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities

What You’ll Do…

  • Plan tooling and auxiliary facilities based on future capacity plans.
  • Monitor coating speed, analyze issues, and implement improvements to achieve the planned speed.
  • Analyze the OEE of equipment engineers to identify opportunities for capacity improvement.
  • Organize activities such as Gemba Work, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to find improvement opportunities. Engage personnel in designing and evaluating improvement plans to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Support and coordinate various resources to handle on‑site issues, including 5S management, production resource coordination, daily improvements, ad‑hoc tasks, and production meetings. Work with the site management team to ensure stable and efficient production line operations.
  • Support new line construction, including managing equipment arrival schedules, assisting with equipment handling and positioning, and overseeing equipment installation and commissioning progress.
  • Willingness to work various shifts and hours, including weekends as needed.
Qualifications

You’ll have…

  • 1‑3 years relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.

Even better, you’ll have…

  • Master’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, and engineering or related fields.
  • MODAPTS experience.
  • Be proactive, take ownership of projects and problems, and be a team player to get things done.
