Job Description Manufacturing Process Engineer - Battery Systems Location: Westminster, MD Pay: $85,000-$95,000 Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview M Force Partners is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer - Battery Systems to support the development, implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for advanced battery products. This Manufacturing Process Engineer - Battery Systems will collaborate with Battery Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Maintenance to ensure manufacturing processes are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and capable of producing high-quality products. The ideal Manufacturing Process Engineer - Battery Systems will have experience supporting manufacturing operations, solving production challenges, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities Support Battery Design Engineering and Operations with manufacturing and process engineering activities Evaluate new and existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and product quality Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing support tools Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, reducing costs, improving quality, and maximizing production output Train and support production personnel on manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures Collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance to evaluate and implement equipment upgrades and process improvements Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, and production issues while documenting corrective actions Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to identify and eliminate recurring manufacturing issues Partner with Battery Design and Mechanical Engineering teams to transition new products from development into production Evaluate product designs and provide recommendations to improve manufacturability Monitor manufacturing KPIs and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process optimization Apply engineering analysis, computational modeling, prototyping, and testing to improve manufacturing performance Support the implementation of process controls, automation, and manufacturing equipment improvements Participate in cross-functional engineering and continuous improvement initiatives Perform additional engineering responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related industrial environment Experience supporting manufacturing processes, production operations, and continuous improvement initiatives Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and production equipment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and operations teams Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies Experience applying Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies Six Sigma Certification Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems Experience with CAD modeling software Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process validation Experience working in battery manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or other advanced manufacturing environment Job presented by M Force Partners M Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
