Job Summary

Hands on general routine maintenance, repairs, and service functions for the facility and its equipment; and be able to work flexible schedules as needed to complete PMs or projects during off shifts. 

Primary Duties
  • Perform a variety of general maintenance and service functions including installations and repairs of facility equipment.   
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of PPE, Ergonomics, LOTO, Hazardous Material Recycling Programs, safe Power tool operating practices, and safe PIT equipment operating skills.   
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs while minimizing production and maintenance downtime.   
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and through email, with Department Lead to minimize problems associated with Maintenance activities.   
  • Help advise on maintenance improvements, building improvements, and other facility projects.

Qualifications

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Participate in department meetings and projects  
  • Operate within standard operating procedures  
  • Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area  
  • Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines  
  • Timely and regular attendance  

Qualifications: 

  • Must be willing to be a full-time yard driver, full time battery changer, full time Maintenance Support, and part time custodian when needed.  
  • Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operator manuals, and maintenance instructions.  Must demonstrate clear verbal communication and legible hand writing.  
  • Be proficient in reading basic mechanical and/or electrical schematic drawings, sketches, manuals, and written or oral instructions.  Strong understanding of machine diagnostics, along with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts related to Production equipment and material handling equipment.  
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 45 pounds.  
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; bend; climb; use hands to finger, talk and hear for up to 12 hours. The employee is regularly required to reach, push, pull and regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. 
Education / Experience
  • High School or equivalent and Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field  

  • Journeyman in Related Field / 3 - 5 Year on the job Experience in Related Fields
