Job description

Position Title: Concrete Plant Manager
Company Overview
At Austin Prestress Company, we are a well-established and growing manufacturing company providing precast concrete products to heavy highway contractors throughout Texas. Our team includes both office staff and a field workforce supporting daily operations.
General Description of Position: Daily management and oversight of concrete batch plant maintenance and batching operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the upkeep of the concrete plant in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
  • Oversee proper operation of the concrete plant in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Manage spare part inventories.
  • Develop and execute plans for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and/or unscheduled repairs due to breakdowns during off-peak hours.
  • Ensure safety compliance at the plant site.
  • Uphold environmental compliance at the plant site and manage the upkeep and functionality of the concrete washout pit areas.
  • Coordinate raw material orders and deliveries

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in the concrete industry, plant operations, batching systems and quality control practices is desired.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must have the ability to adhere to maintenance schedules and make mechanical repairs sometimes during off-peak hours.
