Our new retail location in Sayreville, NJ will feature 200,000 square feet of a completely unique custom design. Envisioned as a tribute to the great sporting heritage of the region and a celebration of everything New Jersey, it will build on the signature qualities that define the award-winning Bass Pro Shops shopping experience, combining retail with entertainment, outdoor education and conservation.
Since its founding in 1972, Bass Pro Shops has blazed a new trail in the retail experience for outdoor enthusiasts. As millions of families know, a trip to a Bass Pro Shops is more than a retail experience; it's an adventure, a mini-vacation, a celebration of nature and an educational and enriching outing for the entire family.
Conservation forms the heart and soul of Bass Pro Shops and is an ethic that dates to the earliest days of the company. Alongside the customers they serve, Bass Pro Shops over the past decade has proudly donated more than 10% of earnings to support conservation efforts in local communities and across North America.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Receiving Clerk performs work in the Receiving area of the store to include merchandise stocking, inventory control, pricing and, merchandise returns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Unloads trucks, stocks merchandise, tickets merchandise and processes returns.
  • Maintains Receiving area layout as set by the Corporate Office.
  • Interacts with other associates in a friendly, positive and professional manner.
  • Keeps work area clean, neat and safe.
  • Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to perform simple math (arithmetic, subtraction, multiplication)
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Constantly move, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
  • Constantly stand and/or walk for prolonged periods
  • Constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
