Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Beretta Pyramid Gallery Manager manages the Beretta Gun Room at the Bass Pro Pyramid Memphis location. Manages all aspects of Beretta firearms such as safety, security and sales. Assists with clothing and accessories sales, while maintaining agreed upon margins. Continual trains all associates on the Beretta brand and products offered. Coordinates transmission of financial reports to company Account Representatives and Sales Directors. Accounting or bookkeeping skills along with experience using PC applications will be needed to generate various reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides sales analysis and feedback to the Beretta National Account Representative along with Bass Pro Shops Base Camp (Headquarters) to develop strategies and implement them to achieve sales objectives, while striving to maintain a 25% margin on all firearm products.
  • Manages the sales of Beretta firearms in the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid; analyzes inventory sales to stock ratio and make recommendation to Bass Pro Shops management; implements all Beretta and Bass Pro Shops consumer promotions and marketing campaigns. Works with Bass Pro Shops management to develop incentives for company associates to stimulate sales.
  • Manages and maintains firearm and clothing/accessory inventory within the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid Gallery; collaborates with Beretta Merchandising Team and National Account Rep to strategize product assortment and promotion strategy changes throughout the year to react to business and seasonal opportunities.
  • Must be familiar with federal regulations regarding firearms sales through in-depth training. Maintain customer FA purchase records including 4473 and ATF log according to Bass Pro Shops operating procedures.
  • Provides input and feedback to develop sales strategy with National Account Representative and Director of Sales; makes suggestions for firearm products to offer in Bass Pro Shops Pyramid Gallery.
  • Tracks all sales of Beretta products and re-order merchandise when necessary (according to Bass Pro Shops operating procedures.)
  • Utilizes Beretta sales tracking tools/procedures to develop a merchandise ordering plan in coordination with NAR and in alignment with the Bass Pro Shops buying office.
  • Develops and creates periodic sales and promotional events to generate foot traffic and stimulate sales. Work with Beretta Gallery Manger to develop in-shop events.
  • Manges in-store training of Bass Pro Shops staff on Beretta products. Works with Bass Pro Shops management to develop training plan for sales associates assigned to support Pyramid Gallery. Work closely with Beretta USA management and staff as it relates to new product training, reporting and marketing. Continually stays informed on new product launch and brand marketing strategy.
  • Provides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions; identifies and evaluating customers' needs; makes product recommendations based off of this analyses; promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up
  • Administrative responsibilities to include developing and maintaining customer client listing, preparing monthly sales reports, performing all bookkeeping and accounting functions.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 5 years in management capacity with outdoor retailer preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Excellent management and customer interaction skills; ability to communicate well both in person and on the phone, good memory, decisiveness, thoroughness
  • Knowledge of Beretta products and outdoor lifestyle to include clothing and accessories
  • Extensive knowledge of hunting, firearms, and outdoor sporting activities.
  • Ability to set sales strategies to improve sales objectives
  • Ability to set and communicate strategies to management verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Travel (by plane) within the US required; 2 -4 times per year for training or event participation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Night and weekend work is required. Holiday work is required. Bass Pro Shops is closed on Christmas Day.
  • Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a professional retail environment.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
  • Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
