DIRECTOR, REVENUE MARKETING (TROY SPORTS PROPERTIES)

THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Director, Revenue Marketing to join our Troy University team in Troy AL. The Director, Revenue Marketing will work with the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing to drive awareness and attendance for all athletic programs while increasing fan engagement. The primary objective is to provide a top-tier game atmosphere for all home athletic events while continuing to drive revenue for the Athletics Department. This position reports directly to the Deputy Athletics Director for External Relations / Revenue Generation.


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Oversee all operations and sales for gameday special events and activities

Design and implement fan experience, marketing, and sales campaigns for assigned sports.

Assist the Deputy Athletics Director and Assistant Athletics Director in the game presentation of men's football and basketball games

Assist the Deputy Athletics Director and Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement in all marketing and sales campaigns surrounding revenue generating sports

Support the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement in recruitment, scheduling, and training of the student intern program

Oversee all operations and sales for property specific revenue drivers

Coordinate and implement activation features within the university athletics app

Coordinate with the Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement on social media campaigns

Work directly with university sports properties on fulfillment and in-game sponsorship activations for home sports games

Analyze data from email correspondence, social media, and the university athletics app to ensure that sponsors receive optimal ROI and advise the university athletics team on ways to improve communication to season ticket holders, alumni, fans, and students

Other job-related duties as assigned


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred

1+ years of experience in sports marketing

Strong storytelling skills and experience

Ability to work in a collaborative team setting while also being self-motivated and organized

Familiarity of NCAA rules, college athletics content trends, and current social and digital media trends and specifications preferred

Excellent communication and time management skills


TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, and holidays
