Job description

Northwestern High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Boys Basketball Coach to
lead our program. The ideal candidate will have a strong coaching philosophy focused on player
development, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence. The coach will be responsible for all
aspects of the program, including player development, practice planning, game strategy, and
fostering a positive and disciplined team culture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BCI/FBI Background Checks
  • Completion of Coaches Tool Chest Online Education Program
  • ODE Pupil Activity Permit

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience overseeing and coordinating high school, junior high, and youth basketball
    programs.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and the
    school community.
  • Experience in program development, player skill development, strength and conditioning, and
    athlete mentorship.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive culture that emphasizes character, teamwork,
    sportsmanship, and academic success.
