Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Smith Entertainment Group is seeking an AI & Innovation Intern to help build and scale our internal AI Studio. This role will focus on building, testing, and implementing practical AI solutions that improve decision-making, efficiency, and fan experience across the organization. The intern will work directly with business leaders, data teams, and technology partners to develop internal GPTs, copilots, and AI-powered workflows for departments including Partnerships, Marketing, Ticketing, Arena Operations, and more. This is a unique opportunity to help shape how a professional sports and entertainment organization adopts AI at scale. This role is fully onsite, part-time 25-30 hours per week, and is expected to run for approximately 10 months.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build Internal AI Tools
  • Design, build, and test GPTs and copilots for departments across SEG.
  • Develop AI-powered solutions that help employees access information, generate insights, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Assist in creating internal analytics copilots powered by Snowflake data.

AI Research & Evaluation
  • Research emerging AI platforms, tools, and vendors.
  • Test and compare AI models including ChatGPT, Claude, and other emerging platforms.

Pilot Development
  • Support the development and execution of AI pilot programs.
  • Gather feedback from internal users and iterate on solutions.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Create documentation, prompt libraries, and implementation guides.
  • Help develop repeatable frameworks for future AI projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and innovation.
  • Familiarity with ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience building custom GPTs, AI workflows, or automations.
  • Basic understanding of data platforms such as Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with JSON, APIs, or prompt engineering.
  • Experience with analytics, reporting, or business intelligence tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
