Job description
- High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
- Experience with basketball as a player, coach, team manager, graduate assistant or intern at the college, high school, or equivalent level.
- Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules.
- Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under the University's Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in sports management or related field.
- Previous experience in a college/university athletics department and/or men's basketball office.
- Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.
- Maintains and promotes a positive public relations image among team members and coaching staff.
- Possess the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a "Customer Focus" attitude and delivery.
- Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.
- Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
