Job description

What is this role?

As a Machine Operator for Cirkul you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of sophisticated, high speed packaging machines along with other production-critical fixtures used on the production floor. 

What does an average day look like? 

  • Driving Results: Track performance data and communicate expectations while working with teammates. 
  • Taking Ownership: Report all food safety and quality issues to management.
  • Making Decisions: Provide any recommend supervision and execute solutions to problems that may arise.
  • Cultivating Relationships: Partner with others, share knowledge, skills, and information with assigned team and across functional areas.
  • Instilling Trust: Identify issues that may result in production slow down or machine downtime and reporting to appropriate parties.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain and exceeds production, quality, and safety standards.

What background should you have? 

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a machine operator.
  • Able to set up machines; loading, dies, and films, and monitors to make sure it is running efficiently. 
  • Experience in performing diagnostics and resolving equipment issues as needed.
  • Follows work order, quality control and sanitation procedures concerning weights, packs, descriptions, dates, UPC's, cleanup and changeovers.
  • Can lead machinery change over (clean, size change, etc..) effectively, timely and with proper level of cleaning.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Ability to train/coach.
  • Basic computer literacy (to understand QAD and scanners).
  • Mechanical, electrical and analytical abilities.
  • Good manual dexterity, vision and mobility.
