Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating fabrication equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet production specifications. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor heavy fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plate rollers, CNC plasma or oxy-fuel tables, ironworkers, and large band saws
  • Handle and process heavy-gauge steel and structural materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Measure, inspect, and verify parts using precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting
  • Safely rig, load, and unload materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or hoists
