Job Summary: Responsible for operating machines to produce cabinet components for doors, drawers, frames, and boxes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Matches parts for door assembly.
- Off loads machines in the door department.
- Operates machines within the department after training and certification.
- Organizing parts prior to sand master.
- Buffer maintenance.
- Putty and hand sanding doors.
- Quality inspection of built doors.
- Maintain no more than a 1% reject rate per workday.
- All other duties and responsibilities assigned by team leader and supervisor
- Machines may include, but not limited to:
- Table saw
- Dado saw
- MMTJ
- Voorwood
- Chop saw
- Edge bander
- Multi bore
- Shapers / planers/ profilers
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Read and use tape measure
- Read and understand labels and cut lists
- Must be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.
- Physically carry and transport items for long distances up to twelve hours a day.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and transport material which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in accordance with the requirements listed in the matrices below for up to twelve hours a day.
- Must be mentally altered and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
- Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
- Must be able to work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.
- Good attendance and punctuality are necessary.
- Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company's image of excellence.
- Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
