Job description

Department Summary:
The department provides diagnostic x-ray imaging services within the health care facility to patients in need.
Position Summary:
A GXMO colleague performs radiologic imaging procedures; operates x-ray equipment, positions patients, performs and documents patient assessment as relates to the imaging encounter. The GXMO exports images to PACS, will access and utilize the HIS as needed, prepare the exam room, equipment and supplies. All GXMO colleagues will work within the scope of their licensure as defined by the Ohio Department of Health. GXMO colleagues will not perform fluoroscopic procedures, portable exams or surgery cases.
Qualifications:
  • Ohio GXMO certification
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Experience preferred

Skills:
  • Comfortable speaking to large groups and presenting
  • Detail oriented
  • Communicate effectively
  • Adaptability to changing work environment or needs
  • Computer, keyboard skills preferred
  • Ability to set priorities and reprioritize as needed
  • Use of proper body mechanics while caring for patients

Responsibilities & Expectations:
  • Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy.
  • Properly position patients for high image quality.
  • Medical record documentation in HIS and RIS or systems required per department.
  • Review each examination for quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies.
  • Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual.
  • Explain exams/procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns.
  • Adhere to Aultman policies and procedures.
  • No direct reports for this position
  • Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education.
  • Ability to meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Ability to operate equipment within the department.
  • Maintain Aultman attendance standards.
