What You'll Do
The General X-ray Machine Operator provides professional technical care through the operation of static x-ray equipment to produce high quality radiographs, limited in scope to include chest/abdomen, extremity, skull/sinuses and spine. This position has direct patient care, access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist, Radiology manager and other team members. The GXMO is responsible for assisting the Diagnostic x-ray technologist with patient care both directly and indirectly. Duties may include patient transport, patient preparation, order verification, clarification, and stocking of supplies. It is the expectation that the GXMO will move to a technologist role at the completion of their degree and passage of ARRT exam. This position works under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager.
