Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU
Location: Rochester, Michigan
Department: Critical Care Unit
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.
Provide care for post-operative open-heart surgery patients.
Manage advanced cardiac support devices including Impella and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump).
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress.
Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in resolving variances from patient care goals.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience
Experience caring for post-op open heart patients
Hands-on experience with Impella and IABP
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Current Michigan RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
