Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care operations within a healthcare setting. This role involves providing direct patient support, assisting clinical staff, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to a safe and efficient patient care environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support
  • Collect, document, and maintain accurate patient information and medical records.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor treatments.
  • Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition or emergencies.
  • Assist with patient transportation and safety monitoring as needed.
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient care activities.
  • Maintain current immunization and medication records.
Clinical Procedures & Technical Duties
  • Collect specimens and perform Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) as authorized.
  • Follow established protocols for specimen handling, labeling, and transport.
  • Administer immunizations and injections as directed and permitted by certification.
  • Operate clinical equipment including blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and defibrillators.
  • Assist with radiology procedures when appropriately trained and certified.
  • Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) when required.
Care Coordination & Workflow Support
  • Assist with patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and preventive care initiatives.
  • Support patient care management and clinic workflow efficiency.
  • Identify patients due for immunizations or preventive health services.
  • Provide cross-coverage and support for team members as needed.
Administrative & Team Collaboration
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and departmental initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Report incidents, safety concerns, and patient-related issues promptly.
Required QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Certifications (One of the Following Required)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), OR
  • EMT III Alaska Certification, OR
