Job description

Job description:
Real Estate Sales Inspector
Basement Systems of Indiana
About Us
Basement Systems of Indiana is a trusted leader in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, and crawl space solutions. We work closely with homeowners, real estate agents, and buyers to protect homes and provide peace of mind during real estate transactions. Our mission is simple: do the right thing-for our customers, our team, and our community.
Position Overview
We are seeking a confident, knowledgeable Real Estate Sales Inspector to perform inspections on homes that are currently on the market or in the process of being bought or sold. This role blends technical inspection skills with consultative sales and clear communication. The ideal candidate has a background in construction, real estate, or in-home sales and is comfortable presenting findings to homeowners, buyers, sellers, and real estate professionals.
You must be comfortable physically inspecting basements and crawl spaces, speaking in front of clients, and recommending appropriate solutions that protect the home and support the transaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of basements, foundations, and crawl spaces in homes listed for sale or under contract
  • Identify signs of water intrusion, foundation movement, structural concerns, and moisture-related issues
  • Clearly explain inspection findings to homeowners, buyers, sellers, and real estate agents in a professional and confident manner
  • Present repair and improvement solutions tailored to each property and situation
  • Build trust with real estate professionals through timely communication and reliable service
  • Generate estimates and proposals aligned with company standards
  • Accurately document inspections, findings, and recommendations in CRM systems
  • Meet or exceed individual sales and performance goals
  • Represent Basement Systems of Indiana with professionalism, integrity, and confidence

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Background in construction, home inspection, real estate, or in-home sales (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of residential structures, foundations, or building systems (or willingness to learn)
  • Comfortable with public speaking and client-facing presentations
  • Confident, consultative sales approach-educating rather than pressuring
  • Physically capable of accessing basements and crawl spaces (including tight or low-clearance areas)
  • Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and accountable
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

What We Offer
  • Competitive base pay plus commission or performance-based incentives
  • Comprehensive training on inspection processes, systems, and solutions
  • Career growth opportunities within a growing home services company
  • Supportive team environment with strong operational backing
  • Company vehicle, tools, and technology (role-dependent)

Why Join Basement Systems of Indiana?
This is a unique opportunity to combine technical knowledge, sales skill, and relationship-building in a role that truly helps people protect their homes and successfully navigate real estate transactions. If you enjoy being on-site, educating clients, and closing solutions you believe in, this role is for you.
Basement Systems of Indiana is an equal opportunity employer.
