Job description

About Arbus Hospitality's Jackson Hole Portfolio

Arbus Hospitality's Jackson Hole collection brings together four distinct ways to experience the Tetons:

  • Anvil Hotel: a boutique hotel in the heart of Jackson, steps from Town Square and positioned as a downtown basecamp for restaurants, shops, galleries, mountain trails, and national park access.
  • The Alpine House: a boutique Jackson Hole stay designed around comfort, breakfast, local hospitality, and easy access to downtown Jackson's shops, galleries, dining, and activities.
  • Cache House: an elevated hostel experience connected to Anvil Hotel, located steps from Town Square and designed for social, design-minded, adventure-oriented travelers.
  • Turpin Meadow Ranch: a wilderness ranch experience near Moran and the Buffalo Valley, offering lodging and curated outdoor adventures such as horseback riding, fly fishing, e-biking, and seasonal exploration.

Together, these properties give guests multiple ways into Jackson Hole: downtown access, boutique comfort, social adventure lodging, and a remote ranch experience rooted in the landscape.

About the Role

The Sales Manager, Jackson Hole Portfolio is the connector between our properties, our guests, our local partners, and the groups who come to Jackson Hole for experiences they cannot find anywhere else. This role owns the full lifecycle of group, corporate, and event-related sales across Arbus's Jackson Hole sites, from prospecting and securing new opportunities to negotiating terms, coordinating details, and ensuring a smooth handoff to operations.

The Sales Manager serves as the connective thread between vision and execution, making sure each booking is positioned thoughtfully, priced appropriately, and planned in a way that reflects the right property experience.

This role builds business across multiple segments, including corporate retreats, incentive travel, weddings and social groups, outdoor/adventure groups, sports and recreation travel, nonprofit and organization travel, wellness groups, local business accounts, and business transient opportunities.

This person should understand that selling Jackson Hole is not just about room nights. It is about matching guests and groups to the right experience, whether that means a downtown stay at Anvil, a boutique retreat at Alpine House, a community-driven stay at Cache House, or an adventure-forward gathering at Turpin Meadow Ranch.

This role requires someone who can work independently, build strong local relationships, and regularly be present in the market. The person in this role must live within a 3-hour drive of Jackson, Wyoming.

You might love this role if:

  • You consider yourself a self-starter, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and love independent, lifestyle, boutique, and adventure-driven hospitality brands.
  • You are as comfortable thinking strategically as you are executing tactically, and you know how to translate ideas into measurable business results.
  • You have a natural ability to connect with people and bring authenticity, clarity, and hospitality into every interaction.
  • You understand that salesispart of the broader hotel and ranch operation, and you are willing to roll up your sleeves when the business needs it.
  • You are highly detail-oriented, but you never lose sight of the larger guest experience.
  • You are energized by Jackson Hole, outdoor travel, local partnerships, and the opportunity to represent a portfolio of properties with distinct personalities.
  • You can move between different guest segments and brand experiences without making them feel generic.
  • You understand that great salesisnot transactional. It is relational, intentional, and deeply tied to the experience we create.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve portfolio sales goals by booking group, corporate, social, and event-related business across Arbus's Jackson Hole properties.
  • Own the full lifecycle of sales opportunities, including prospecting, proposals, site visits, contracting, room blocks, event details, internal handoffs, and follow-up.
  • Manage booking and revenue details accurately in the sales CRM, property management system, and other internal systems.
  • Solicit key segments, including corporate retreats, incentive travel, weddings and social groups, outdoor/adventure and wellness groups, nonprofit and organization travel, sports/recreation groups, and local business accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with local attractions, guides, outfitters, restaurants, event partners, chambers, tourism organizations, transportation providers, destination management partners, and other hotels.
  • Work with revenue management and property leadership on pricing, seasonality, need-period strategy, group displacement, and contract terms.
  • Host client visits, property tours, familiarization trips, partner introductions, receptions, and sales-related events.
  • Represent the Jackson Hole portfolio in the local market and serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for each property, the destination, and the guest experience.
  • Partner closely with operations, front office, food and beverage, guest experience, ranch programming, housekeeping, maintenance, and finance teams to ensure clear expectations and smooth execution.
  • Support reporting, forecasting, pipeline management, client issue resolution, and other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in hotel, resort, ranch, destination, or lifestyle hospitality sales strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience selling leisure, resort, adventure, mountain, boutique, or independent hospitality is preferred; Jackson Hole or regional mountain destination experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication, presentation, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional, hospitable, discreet with confidential information, and comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and property management systems.
  • Must live within a 3-hour drive of Jackson, Wyoming and be able to work a hybrid schedule with regular onsite presence at all Jackson Hole properties.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, client events, site visits, and approved travel based on business needs.

Other Important Details

  • The base salary band for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 annually, plus participation in the Arbus Sales BonusProgram.
  • This role is considered Hybrid Remote, with regular onsite work in Jackson, Wyoming and at Turpin Meadow Ranch. Successful candidates must live within a reasonable drivable distance of Jackson, Wyoming.
  • Work environment information:โ€ฏ
