Interns will work closely with the Retail Director to creatively display merchandise, manage inventory levels, and analyze sales data. There will be opportunity to create/recommend new products to implement in store. This position will be highly interactive with our customers in order to extend the exceptional experience at Ballparks of America through retail product.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Create an outstanding customer experienceOrganizing store itemsHelp track merchandise inventory and reorder levelsResearch on latest industry trendsHelp execute consumer products business plan and monitor overall retail performanceWork with the management team to interpret data including tracking merchandise sales and performance within the retail store and onlineHelping brainstorm new products and merchandise strategiesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Current student or recently graduated in the last year studying Fashion, Merchandising or related degreeUnderstanding of fashion trends Enjoys finding creative solutions to problemsAvailable 40 hours per week, including nights and weekendsWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Working environment is fast pacedMust be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds infrequentlyMay be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functionsWill be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computerWorkplace environment has intermittent noise, generally moderate in nature, but can be loud at times especially during competitions and events
