We are currently hiring for the role ofย Branch Manager.

SUMMARYย 

The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and customer experience of a Kele branch location.ย This role is highly hands-on and combines customer service, technical product support, order fulfillment, inventory control, and staff leadership.ย 

The Branch Manager ensures customers receive fast, accurate, and knowledgeable support for Building Automation System (BAS) products while maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant branch operations aligned with company objectives.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESย Other duties may be assigned:

ย Customer Service, Sales & Technical Supportย 

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to walk-in and phone-in customers.ย 
  • Personally service inbound customer calls and walk-in traffic, including:ย 
  • Identifying parts and pricingย 
  • Entering and following up on ordersย 
  • Providing product quotes and availabilityย 
  • Suggesting additional or alternative products as appropriateย 
  • Provide product, application, and basic technical support related to BAS components and systems.ย 
  • Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of Kele catalog products and key vendor offerings.ย 
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve customer concerns and service issues.ย 

Branch Operations & Order Fulfillmentย 

  • Direct and actively participate in daily branch operations, including:ย 
  • Receiving inbound productย 
  • Put-away and stockingย 
  • Pick, pack, and ship of outbound ordersย 
  • Processing customer returns and RMAsย 
  • Ensure orders are shipped accurately, completely, and on time.ย 
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe branch environment.ย 

Inventory, Warehouse & Asset Managementย 

  • Oversee inventory control activities to ensure:ย 
  • Accurate physical inventory countsย 
  • Proper stocking locations and labelingย 
  • Adherence to cycle count processesย 
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.ย 
  • Oversee the physical warehouse facility and equipment; recommend improvements to space utilization, layout, racking, and shelving as needed.ย 
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure proper handling of inventory and equipment.ย 

Staff Leadership & Developmentย 

  • Lead branch associates to work effectively as aย cross-trained team.ย 
  • Direct staffing, scheduling, training, and daily work priorities.ย 
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance input for direct reports.ย 
  • Ensure team members follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.ย 
  • Foster a positive, customer-focused work environment.ย 

Purchasing, Vendor & Expense Managementย 

  • Coordinate purchasing activities as required to support branch operations.ย 
  • Maintain effective working relationships with vendors and internal purchasing teams.ย 
  • Analyze, approve, and control branch expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.ย 

Policies, Reporting & Complianceย 

  • Develop, implement, and monitor branch operating policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations while supporting company objectives.ย 
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and inventory-related reports as required.ย 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and safety requirements.ย 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Directly supervises branch employees.ย 
  • Responsible for work direction, training, scheduling, and performance management.ย 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • Undergraduate /ย Bachelorโ€™sย degree or equivalent experience.ย 
  • Minimum ofย five to seven yearsย of related experience in customer service, branch operations, distribution, or technical sales (BAS or related industry preferred).ย 
  • Demonstrated experience leading a small team in a hands-on environment.ย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn and use company systems.ย

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to address technical product questions.ย 
  • Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems products and applications.ย 
  • Ability to balance customer-facing responsibilities with operational execution.ย

  • Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced, small-team environment.ย 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSย 

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling materials and keyboarding.ย 
  • Ability to lift and move products up to approximately 50 pounds with or without assistance.ย 
  • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.ย
