Location: Chesapeake, VA
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Warehouse Supervisor | RF Scanner amp; Inventory Implementation
Givens Talent is recruiting for a growing distribution company seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations while helping implement a new RF scanning inventory system.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes, developing employees, and ensuring products move accurately and efficiently through the warehouse. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading change, driving inventory accuracy, and keeping operations running on schedule.
What You'll Do
  • Supervise all warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Lead the implementation of RF scanners and support the transition to improved warehouse inventory management processes.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory audits.
  • Manage shipping, receiving, staging, and material handling activities.
  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments to ensure trucks leave on time.
  • Utilize and support the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory tracking tools.
  • Monitor warehouse productivity, shipping performance, and warehouse KPIs.
  • Schedule, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates.
  • Maintain a safe, organized warehouse while following OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Lead, or Warehouse Operations Supervisor.
  • Experience with RF scanners, barcode scanning systems, or implementing warehouse technology.
  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or inventory management software.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping amp; receiving, warehouse operations, and distribution.
  • Experience leading warehouse teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Electrical products, industrial products, or distribution experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
