Forklift Operator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our client's dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to facilitate the movement, loading, and unloading of goods.

Job Duties:

•Operate a variety of warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, lift trucks (forklifts), Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.

•Perform order picking using barcode scanning technology and manual methods to fulfill shipping requirements accurately.

•Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and ensuring proper storage practices.

•Load and unload shipments adhering strictly to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.

•Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

•Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries.

•Maintain a clean, organized work environment by following proper manual handling procedures and safety guidelines.

•Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow processes and improve overall warehouse operations.

•Utilize barcode scanning tools for logistics tracking to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

•Assist with materials handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to manual handling best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

•Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts (including lift truck and Pallett jack), Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment.

•Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics.

•Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order picking, load & unload procedures.

•Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and heavy equipment operation.

•Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for inventory management and order accuracy.

•Experience with inventory control systems and materials handling techniques.

•Excellent manual handling skills combined with a focus on safety standards in production environments.

•Prior experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse operations is advantageous.

•Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively within the team.

•Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
