What is Barbri?

Barbri is a company that provides comprehensive bar exam preparation courses and materials for law graduates. Barbri is widely recognized and trusted by law students across the United States and internationally, and their courses are updated regularly to reflect current bar exam standards.

What is a Barbri?

A Barbri job typically refers to roles within BARBRI, a company specializing in bar exam preparation and legal education. Positions may include instructors, graders, legal education advisors, or administrative staff supporting students. These jobs often involve helping law students prepare for the bar exam through teaching, tutoring, or program development.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a Barbri instructor?

To thrive as a Barbri Instructor, you generally need a strong legal background, a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and experience with bar exam content and structure. Familiarity with online learning platforms, PowerPoint, and Barbri’s proprietary teaching tools is typically required. Exceptional communication, presentation skills, and the ability to motivate and engage students are crucial soft skills in this role. These skills ensure effective knowledge transfer, student engagement, and successful bar exam preparation for future lawyers.

How does working as a Barbri instructor differ from traditional classroom teaching?

As a Barbri instructor, you’ll typically teach law students preparing for the bar exam through structured, standardized content rather than creating your own curriculum. The focus is on delivering complex legal concepts clearly and efficiently, often in a hybrid environment that combines live lectures with digital resources. Collaboration with curriculum developers and other instructors is common to ensure consistency and up-to-date material. This role requires strong presentation skills and the ability to engage students who may be learning remotely or asynchronously.
