Elaine Sterling Institute is seeking a dedicated Barber Instructor to join our growing education team. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by sharing your industry knowledge, coaching students through their training journey, and preparing them for success in the classroom, clinic, and beyond.


What You'll Do

As a Barber Instructor, you will:

✅ Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on instruction through demonstrations, lectures, practical activities, assessments, and review sessions

✅ Teach barbering curriculum in alignment with Georgia State Board requirements, Milady standards, and Institute policies

✅ Coach and mentor students on technical skills, professionalism, guest service, and career readiness

✅ Monitor attendance, academic progress, and practical skill development while providing ongoing support and feedback

✅ Create a positive, energetic, and motivating learning environment

✅ Maintain classrooms and clinic areas in a safe, organized, and State Board inspection-ready condition

✅ Support student retention and success through coaching, academic reviews, and intervention planning

✅ Participate in school events, professional development, career fairs, and industry networking opportunities


What We're Looking For

  • Current and valid Georgia Barber License
  • Valid Instructor License
  • Strong technical knowledge of barbering principles, practices, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Passion for teaching, coaching, and developing future professionals
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
  • Prior instructional, training, mentoring, or industry leadership experience is preferred
