Our Practice:
Banner - University Medicine Behavioral Health Clinic provides superior psychiatric and behavioral healthcare for residents of Arizona and surrounding states. Our department of psychiatry strives to achieve four goals: 1) Provide the best care possible to our patients and their families today; 2) Prepare the next generation of resident physicians to provide better care in the future; 3) Produce the advancements in knowledge required to improve our ability to diagnose, treat, and ultimately prevent mental illness, and 4) Engage with diverse stakeholders to assure we are meeting the needs of the communities we treat as we pursue social justice and health equity. Our hospital and clinics combines psychiatric and behavioral health services in one location for both inpatients and outpatients and includes both an emergency department dedicated to handling acute mentally ill patients and the Center for Interventional Psychiatry and Neurotherapeutics which offers ECT, rTMS, esketamine, and IV ketamine. Our behavioral health clinics provide comprehensive outpatient mental health services for adults and children, including consultations, evaluations, and treatments by psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and supervised trainees.
