Job description

Freese and Nichols is looking for a Traffic Engineer in the Greenville, Columbia, or Raleigh offices. As a Traffic Engineer, you will support traffic studies and analyses that inform transportation planning and design decisions for public-sector clients. You will work alongside experienced engineers and planners while continuing to develop your technical expertise. What You'll Do * Perform traffic impact analyses, operational studies, and safety evaluations * Develop traffic models, forecasts, and supporting documentation * Assist with agency coordination and technical reviews * Support senior engineers and planners on transportation projects * Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications Required * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline * Professional Engineer (PE) license * 4+ years of traffic engineering experience Preferred * Experience with traffic analysis software * Exposure to DOT or public-sector transportation projects About Freese and Nichols At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
