Pay Tester

Location: Montgomery, Alabama

Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Work from Home Available

About This Opportunity

Join our team as a Pay Tester and play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our payment systems. In this position, you'll conduct rigorous testing of payment processing platforms, identify potential issues before they impact our customers, and contribute to the reliability of financial transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented professionals who are passionate about quality assurance and have a keen eye for catching discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute comprehensive testing protocols on payment systems and applications
  • Identify, document, and report software defects and payment processing anomalies
  • Verify transaction accuracy, reconciliation processes, and payment settlement procedures
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve payment-related issues
  • Develop and maintain detailed test cases and documentation for payment scenarios
  • Perform regression testing to ensure updates don't compromise payment functionality
  • Validate compliance with payment industry standards and security requirements
  • Participate in testing cycles and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in data and processes
  • Proficiency with testing tools and methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer literacy
  • Reliable internet connection for hybrid/remote work arrangements
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with payment systems, fintech, or banking software
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting
