Position Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to all areas of the capital project management at North America Engineer Team.

Basic Function: Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead, the Project Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to all areas of capital project management in North America.

Principle Functional Responsibilities:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office-software - Excel, Word, Power-Point, MS-Project (Gantt Chart), SAP, Datastream.
  • Help project management team on a daily basis with the following tasks:
    • Prepare Purchase Requisitions for machinery, parts, services (Datastream/SAP)
    • Keep logbook of all Purchase requisitions and PO's and status
    • Keep logbook of all Payment schedules to suppliers of active PO's
    • Daily follow up of all open PO line items for project items with suppliers
    • Gather supplier data necessary when necessary to open a new Supplier in Accounts Payable
    • Prepare cost summary reports
    • Process Good Receipts when possible.
  • Work with Prysmian resources on the importation of machinery from Foreign countries (customs documentation, commercial invoice, pre-ship notifications etc.).
  • Coordinate with domestic plants and suppliers and 3PL on the freight of equipment.
  • Help coordinate the internal purchase of Prysmian branded wire to be used for projects.
  • Organize travel accommodation(hotel-transportation) to and from regional airports area for workers and employees
  • Prepare Request for quotations (RFQ's) from suppliers based on technical input from Project team engineers
  • Prepare and manage documentation electronic logbook for all machines purchased (quotes, invoice, owner manual, installation manuals, technical specifications, letter of warranty etc.)
  • Work directly with vendors to establish them in our safety management system - ISN
  • Establish new vendors as needed in order to help complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Standardize material purchases between facilities/projects to push the standard look and feel across North America (offices, breakrooms, lighting, etc.)

Desired Experience:

  • A results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance manufacturing/construction environment.

Education:

  • Prefer Associates degree in Business or related technical area but willing to offset with the right experience.

Travel:

  • Some travel may be required for this role but not more than 20%.
