Job Summary:

The Cards & ATM Supervisor oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of the Cards and ATM team and ensures all required tasks are completed timely and accurately. This position will coach, evaluate and discipline assigned team members as needed to assist in their personal and professional development through performance monitoring and reviews and the oversight of key performance indicators. This position will also provide product support for the various systems and services supported by the Cards and ATM team through new implementations and/or enhancements, vendor management, issue management and training.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall supervision of the Cards and ATM Specialists and Trainer and their supported functions. Ensures tasks are completed timely and accurately by monitoring and evaluating team members using KPIs and reporting metrics. Coaches, encourages, and disciplines team members as needed and evaluates overall performance through regular touchpoints and the performance review process.
  • Coordinates the research, reporting, and resolution of issues reported for the Cards and ATM Specialist tasks. Escalates issues timely, as needed, to appropriate individuals and/or vendors. Proposes and implements system and procedure changes as needed to prevent future issues, improve function, or improve service.
  • Prepares team schedule by assigning daily tasks and ensures all required tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Serves as a Business Analyst, Project Manager and/or Subject Matter Expert on departmental projects and enterprise-wide projects ensuring necessary testing, communication and updates are made to internal department processes.
  • Oversees the Training Program for the Cards and ATM team and ensures training is completed for the Cards and ATM Specialists.
  • Serves as a go-to resource for complex issues and product support and fills in critical gaps for backup support, as needed, for all functions processed by the Cards and ATM team.
  • Creates and maintains documentation for procedures and checklists for new and existing products including disaster recovery scripts and storage boxes as necessary. Assists with maintaining Cards and ATM team Sharepoint site.
  • Monitors incoming communications for the Cards and ATM products and services for department, bank, and customer impact and sends out notifications and updates as needed to applicable parties.
  • Assists with ensuring Cards and ATM systems, products, and services are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws so no regulatory violations exist or are identified by examiners. Stays abreast of new laws and regulations, ensuring necessary changes are implemented on a timely basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • At least 6 years of experience in Bank operations, project coordination, product management or similar financial functions required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Some supervisory experience or experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Experience working with electronic payments (debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, ATMs, etc.) and online banking preferred

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Rules and Regulations regarding the processing of card and ATM transactions preferred (Regulation E, Regulation Z, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Visa Operating Rules, Shazam Operating Rules, MoneyPass Operating Rules, AllPoint Operating Rules, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of bank operations
  • Thorough knowledge of financial institutions, payment processing flows (especially retail, treasury and electronic payments), and the financial/payment networks for processing
  • Working knowledge of Banking/Financial Institution regulatory requirements
  • Thorough knowledge or all technical and administrative functions of the Cards and ATM department
  • Ability to communicate and relate to people from varying relationships (i.e. personal and business), varying levels of understanding, and varying levels of positions
  • Ability to comprehend and create varying financial data reports and summaries (i.e. budgets, cost/benefit analysis)
  • Ability to lead, monitor, evaluate, direct, encourage, motivate, and discipline team members
  • Ability to understand, use, monitor, and evaluate varying types of computer systems
  • Strong work ethic, positive company attitude, and commitment to quality

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $66,000 - $78,000
