Commercial Banking Manager
South Bend, Indiana
• Base salary range: $134K–$200K
• Incentive opportunity: $30K–$50K

We are seeking a proven leader to oversee a team of nine Commercial Bankers and drive loan and deposit growth across the region. This role is responsible for sales leadership, credit oversight, talent development, and the delivery of a high level of client service within a defined market.
Duties:
  • Lead and execute regional sales strategy to achieve commercial growth goals
  • Drive disciplined sales activity, including pipeline management and cross-sell initiatives
  • Coach and develop Commercial Bankers to strengthen sales performance, credit skills, and relationship management
  • Lead business development efforts and maintain a strong presence in the local market
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions
  • Oversee credit quality and portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with risk standards
  • Approve credit requests within authority and manage complex or challenged relationships
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top commercial banking talent
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial/business banking
  • Strong background in credit, loan structuring, treasury services, and relationship management
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success in business development and market growth
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM and loan systems experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
