Job description

The Industrials Team at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our team in our Chicago or Cleveland office. BGL's growing Industrials Team focuses on several key areas: Building Products, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial Technology, Metals and Mining, Packaging, etc.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the primary processor of transactions and proposals
  • Supports senior bankers in transaction execution and client management
  • Performs financial analysis
  • Conducts industry research and business due diligence
  • Assists senior bankers with new business development
  • Participates in marketing efforts
  • Develops offering presentation materials
Qualifications:
  • 6-12 months of previous experience in M&A Investment Banking
  • Bachelor's Degree required (majoring in Business, Finance or Accounting)
  • Sell side M&A experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
  • Proven track record of strong transaction execution including presentations, financial analysis, transaction marketing documents and preparation of other materials
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior work ethic and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Ambitious team player
  • SIE, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses
