Banking Support Specialist

Merchants & Marine Bancorp is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Banking Support Specialist to join our Corporate Banking Administration team. This role is ideal for an experienced banking professional who enjoys problem-solving, training, process improvement, and collaborating across multiple business lines.

As a Banking Support Specialist, you will serve as a key resource for our family of banking brands by providing operational support, assisting with escalated system issues, enhancing processes, and ensuring consistent procedures across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting operational excellence, compliance, employee development, and customer service.

Training & Support
  • Coordinate and deliver training on banking systems, procedures, and operational processes to brand-level trainers.
  • Update training materials as systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements evolve.
  • Assist trainers and operations leaders with escalated system issues and unresolved outages.
Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and operational consistency.
  • Draft, update, and maintain procedures that support system changes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather feedback and ensure procedures are effective and user-friendly.
  • Monitor system enhancements, release notes, and industry developments to recommend improvements and identify potential risks.
Audits & Compliance
  • Conduct quarterly internal audits and assist with external audits.
  • Help maintain effective internal controls and ensure documentation remains current.
  • Track and document adherence to procedures and provide monthly reporting to management.
Project Leadership
  • Serve as a key participant and project leader on Banking Support initiatives.

Qualifications

Required
