JOB SUMMARY:ย 
The Commercial Banker's primary responsibility is to obtain, promote, and manage a portfolio of existing and new loan customers including cross-selling new loans, products and services while ensuring compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures. A Commercial Banker's main focus is on loan amounts $1 million and up.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
ย ย  ย Analyze loan markets to develop new prospects and build a strong portfolio of commercial customers.
ย ย  ย Maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and continue communication for growth of portfolio.
ย ย  ย Production focused to build a book of business. ย 
ย ย  ย Analyze applicant's financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of loan request.
ย ย  ย Compiles loan documentation and facilitates loan structure with applicant and ensures the commitment letters are prepared and delivered.
ย ย  ย Has full understanding of commercial real estate appraisals and is able to review and evaluate appropriately.
ย ย  ย Actively participates in the Community by attending events and being active in organizations to promote the Bank's business products and services and build relationships.
ย ย  ย Ensures loan closing and funding activities occur timely.
ย ย  ย Identify complex situations, review related information to evaluate and develop an acceptable solution.
ย ย  ย Stays informed and current on lending practices and communicates as necessary on updates needed to the Bank's policies to remain working within the bank's policy guidelines.
ย ย  ย Maintains knowledge of compliance requirements for banking. Handles all customer interactions and file records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
ย ย  ย Maintains product knowledge for establishing full banking relationships with commercial customers.
ย ย  ย Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย  ย Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, finance or another related field
ย ย  ย Minimum of four (4) years of related experience in Commercial Banking is required.
ย ย  ย Formal credit analysis training and working experience in applying is required
ย ย  ย Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is required
ย ย  ย Ability to organize and analyze complex financial data is required
ย ย  ย Knowledge and understanding of all federal and state regulations regarding lending and related departments and ability to stay current is required
ย ย  ย Excellent analytical and mathematical skills and ability to make a credit decision is required
ย ย  ย Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
ย ย  ย Demonstrated high level of professionalism and maturity is required
ย ย  ย Ability to work off normal work schedule to meet customer needs as well as attend community functions and events for business development is required
ย ย  ย Minimal travel within assigned market is required
