POSITION

Non-Exempt
PURPOSE: Provides superior and quality customer service. Provides customers efficient and accurate transaction processing. Make referrals and sells the Bank’s products and services while provides quality customer services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates a teller's window to serve the bank's customers by:
  1. Accepting retail and/or commercial deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and giving customers their receipts.
    1. Identifying customers and cashing checks; gets an officer authorization to cash checks.
    2. Placing HOLDs on checks following Government Regulations.
    3. Accepting savings deposits and withdrawals, verifying signatures.
    4. Providing additional customer services including Cashiers Checks, and change orders.
    5. Balances cash daily.
    6. Accepting payments for all loans.
  • Admits customers to safe deposit boxes.
  • Balance money transactions, conduct error-free transactions while providing excellent customer service in a rapid and efficient manner. This requires a good level of concentration and an ability to be friendly with the customer while maintaining control over each transaction.
  • Be able to identify unallocated teller differences.
  • Promotes the bank's products and services; consistently cross-sells bank products at every opportunity.
  • Makes concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
  • Follows teller over/short policy.
  • Promotes and maintains positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers
  • May assist in balancing and servicing ATM as needed.
  • Complies with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to the fulfillment of department and company objectives & goals.
  • Performs as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
  • May train new employees and answer co-worker questions.
  • Will be involved in receiving, verifying, and distributing cash.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows based software.
  • Ability to use a personal computer.

COMPLIANCE

The incumbent has the responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies and those regulations and policies inherent to position requirements.
