As a Small Business Banking Relationship Manager, you will build and grow relationships with business clients while helping them achieve their financial goals. You'll manage a portfolio of small business banking customers, identify growth opportunities, and connect clients with the full range of Associated Bank solutions. This role offers the opportunity to expand your commercial banking expertise, develop strong community connections, and make a meaningful impact on client success.
This role can sit in Hales Corners, WI, or additional Southern Wisconsin locations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of business banking relationships, ensuring strong client retention and satisfaction.

  • Drive loan, deposit, and fee income growth through proactive business development and relationship management.

  • Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver comprehensive banking solutions to clients.

  • Analyze financial information and collaborate on credit recommendations and loan structures.

  • Develop new business opportunities through referrals, centers of influence, networking, and community engagement.

  • Present credit opportunities and support the loan approval process with sound recommendations.

  • Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with credit, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

  • Refer clients to specialized banking partners to meet broader financial and business needs.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years of commercial banking, business banking, or business-to-business sales experience.

  • Experience developing client relationships and generating new business opportunities.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if applicable.

Preferred

  • Experience analyzing financial statements and structuring commercial credit solutions.

  • Knowledge of treasury management, wealth management, and other commercial banking products.

  • Demonstrated success achieving sales, portfolio growth, and client retention goals.

  • Active involvement in community, professional, or business organizations.
